About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Global Banks portfolio, including intragroup subsidiaries
  • Make recommendations on complex new transactions and lending/trading limit requests
  • Design sector strategies, policies and processes
  • Take decisions using delegated credit authority
  • Lead client due diligence meetings
  • Collaborate closely with Coverage and Product teams
  • Support and constructively challenge the front line to build a sustainable business
  • Mentor and upskill junior team members
  • Review junior team submissions to senior sanctioners
  • Collaborate on other FI portfolios, including Insurance, Securitisations, Financial Sponsors and Funds

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in the credit risk assessment of Global Banks
  • Sound knowledge of sector trends, horizon risks and regulation
  • Excellent knowledge of lending and traded products and documentation
  • Held senior Credit Authority in past roles
  • Led client due diligence meetings
  • Formal Credit training preferred
  • Track record in independent decision making
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and efficiently in a clear and unambiguous manner
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple requests, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
  • Influencing and negotiating skills
  • Passion for change, automation and simplification
