About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and integrate software within a feature team
  • Partner with Engineering Leads, Product Owners, and Quality Engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Develop and support production-grade, scalable, and reusable code
  • Deliver secure, scalable, high-quality DevOps capabilities across cloud-native platforms
  • Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines using Harness, Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform
  • Engineer Kubernetes-native solutions across public and private cloud environments
  • Manage workload orchestration, Istio-based networking, and storage classes
  • Embed security and compliance into automated workflows using SonarQube and AquaSec
  • Automate manual processes and develop self-service capabilities
  • Support platform resilience, scalability, parallelism, and cost optimisation
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across complex platforms
  • Contribute to team planning and the evolution of DevOps capabilities
  • Foster federated DevOps enablement so teams can own and operate delivery pipelines
  • Share knowledge through Communities of Practice and support continuous improvement
  • Support incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and remediation planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality DevOps capabilities on cloud-native platforms as part of a multi-functional engineering team
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Harness, Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform, including federation patterns such as overrides and config maps
  • Experience engineering Kubernetes-native solutions in GCP environments, including workload orchestration, Istio-based networking, and storage class management
  • Experience with GCP platform services, including Spanner, BigQuery, AlloyDB/CloudSQL, GCS buckets, and IAM permissions and controls
  • Experience integrating SonarQube and AquaSec into automated pipelines
  • Background in automating manual processes and enabling self-service capabilities
  • Experience collaborating across complex platforms with technical and non-technical groups
  • Experience with Liquibase for database schema management and familiarity with Nexus Repository for artefact management (advantageous)
  • Exposure to Dynatrace (advantageous)
  • Experience investigating issues and contributing to remediation plans after high-impact incidents (desirable)
  • Relevant transferable experience is accepted; specific years of experience are not mandatory
