About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and operate the infrastructure hosting the agentic vulnerability research platform
- Design, build, and operate a Kubernetes-based platform for agentic research workloads
- Create ephemeral and isolated execution environments
- Own Terraform infrastructure-as-code across GCP
- Deliver reproducible, reviewable, and policy-compliant environments
- Engineer secure container and VM images with hardened baselines, minimal attack surfaces, and automated patching
- Implement egress-controlled networking, network policies, service mesh controls, and segmentation
- Build CI/CD pipelines with SBOMs, image signing, artefact provenance, and automated policy gates
- Deliver observability through logs, metrics, distributed traces, and cost telemetry
- Build evidence-capture pipelines with immutable audit trails, artefact retention, and reproducible run records
- Manage secrets, identity, and workload authentication using least-privilege access
- Partner with AI Engineering to scale agent runtimes efficiently and ensure safe failure
- Partner with Security Architecture to evidence control effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience, including workload design, networking, autoscaling, RBAC, and multi-tenancy isolation
- Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code skills
- Track record of managing production cloud estates
- Substantial GCP experience, including GKE, IAM, VPC/networking, Cloud Build/Artifact Registry, or equivalent
- Willingness to work in GCP if experienced with another major cloud
- Container and VM hardening expertise, including image minimisation, runtime security, and vulnerability management
- Practical experience implementing egress control, network policy, and segmentation in cloud-native environments
- Strong CI/CD engineering skills
- Experience embedding security controls into delivery pipelines
- Observability expertise across logging, tracing, and metrics
- Experience designing for auditability and evidence retention
- Security-first judgement balancing researcher velocity against containment requirements
- Relevant transferable experience is accepted
- Preferred: experience building platforms for offensive security, malware analysis, or other high-risk workloads requiring strong isolation
- Preferred: experience supporting AI/ML or LLM workloads, including GPU scheduling, inference infrastructure, or agent runtime environments
- Preferred: cloud or Kubernetes certifications, or cybersecurity-related qualifications and training
- Preferred: contributions to open-source infrastructure, platform, or security tooling
- Preferred: experience in highly regulated environments such as financial services
- Ability to work at one of the listed office sites at least two days per week or 40% of the time
