About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage a single product backlog spanning multiple delivery channels and feature teams
  • Oversee release of incremental product value for customers and stakeholders
  • Support development of Lab or Team OKRs and provide product performance and benefits-realisation data
  • Oversee shaping of user stories to meet customer needs
  • Manage Customer Journey Managers and Integrators in analysing and prioritising user stories for customer journey improvements
  • Shape product vision and roadmap in line with overarching Lab goals and objectives
  • Prioritise, refine and manage the product backlog
  • Own product change governance and Business Readiness activities, including training, communications, testing and implementation readiness
  • Develop capabilities within the functional area and support personal and team growth through mentoring
  • Work with Integrators on particularly large changes
  • Own and manage the backlog for a Group-wide technology asset
  • Develop technical design for the product
  • Deliver against a product budget and perform financial and data analysis
  • Manage product risk
  • Define segmentation and supplier strategy
  • Perform environment planning and other technical activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years’ experience leading digital development delivery with a strong business focus
  • App/web delivery experience is essential
  • Experience in large-scale technology change delivery
  • Experience working as a Product Owner or Programme Manager
  • Demonstrable budget, risk and delivery ownership
  • Hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams through the end-to-end agile application delivery lifecycle, from demand through incremental value release
  • Practical experience applying AI to technology delivery, with examples of improved business outcomes
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively from executive level through delivery teams
  • Right to work and live in Jersey or the Isle of Man
