About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage contracts for a portfolio of suppliers
  • Manage the end-to-end supplier management process across a portfolio of CIB suppliers, including sourcing, onboarding, ongoing management and contract renewal
  • Manage supplier relationships in line with agreed frameworks and business risk tolerance
  • Lead sourcing and procurement activities to generate the best outcome for clients and customers
  • Support business users in onboarding new third-party suppliers while maintaining compliance with established Group policies
  • Drive value from suppliers and identify opportunities for innovation
  • Lead meetings between suppliers and business users, fostering collaboration and positive outcomes
  • Manage supplier-related risk events
  • Drive effective spend management and strong commercial outcomes
  • Provide professional advice and expertise to key partners and colleagues
  • Lead own development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Practical experience of creating or applying supply chain management procedures
  • Experience building effective relationships and influencing stakeholders at different levels, including supplier owners (Accountable Persons)
  • Ability to analyse data from multiple sources to identify process improvements or impacts to the business
  • Experience of leading sourcing and procurement activities and commercial negotiations
  • Knowledge or experience of commercial banking would be an advantage but is not essential
