About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Map attack paths and help implement controls to manage associated risks
Create and maintain processes and procedures to demonstrate system control to auditors and regulators
Implement and maintain security controls within the Security Operations Centre
Participate in security incident management, cyber incident response, and remediation
Contribute to internal and third-party IT audits across LMAX Group
Create, maintain, and deliver cyber security awareness training
Manage and maintain security infrastructure and solutions
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement automations
Manage and mitigate technical vulnerabilities with internal teams and external suppliers
Review and fulfill business security requests
Review business requests and help manage security risks
Investigate host, network, and log-based security events and respond to suspected compromises
Collaborate on identity and access management policies and controls
Research and evaluate technologies to mitigate cyber security threats
Assist with major security incidents and investigations
Establish strategies and procedures for offensive security testing
Maintain visibility into the LMAX estate for security events while minimizing false positives
Support compliance with security best practices
Support internal and third-party audit completion
Improve the security event signal-to-noise ratio
Minimize successful phishing attacks and other end-user security incidents
Provide rapid response during attacks and clear reporting to management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Passion for information technology
High-level understanding of computer systems and networks
Ability to work with a variety of operating systems and programming/scripting languages
Ability to identify vulnerabilities at technical and process levels
Ability to explain findings to a non-technical audience
Automation-first mindset
Understanding of information security standards
Experience implementing best practice in on-premises and cloud-based environments
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate with peers and break knowledge silos
Ability to align security efforts with business goals
