About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain a visible and professional in-store presence to prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations
- Safely and lawfully detain offenders according to company and legal procedures
- Conduct internal and external investigations
- Gather and analyze evidence
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required
- Identify loss trends with store leadership
- Implement loss-prevention strategies
- Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations
- Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and flexible schedule
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must be 18 years or older to complete a criminal background check
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License
- Understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation
- Experience with CCTV and surveillance tools
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Exceptional communication skills
- High level of trustworthiness and accountability
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail environments is an asset
- Full-time availability of 40 hours per week
