About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation projects
  • Perform roadway engineering analyses and design; prepare calculations, plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting documentation
  • Apply roadway design standards, criteria, and engineering best practices in transportation improvements
  • Develop and review roadway designs using OpenRoads Designer and other applicable design software
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop solutions meeting client objectives and project requirements
  • Assist with project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals for roadway engineering assignments
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, permit documentation, and other project deliverables
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and task direction to early-career engineers, technicians, and design staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of roadway/highway design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer
  • Experience preparing roadway plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
  • Commitment to quality, client service, and technical excellence
