About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Spearhead water, wastewater, and stormwater design efforts in the Kansas City region
  • Help shape the vision and direction of water resources services in the region
  • Coordinate and collaborate with senior leaders on client management and strategic business development for water resources engineering services within Western Missouri and Kansas
  • Drive efforts to expand regional water resources engineering services
  • Pursue new business opportunities through relationships and professional organizations
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for junior staff
  • Generate project proposals and participate in project interviews with marketing staff and senior leadership
  • Serve as project manager on a variety of water resources projects
  • Develop project goals, scopes of work, and budgets
  • Produce high-quality deliverables and provide QC/QA
  • Keep abreast of emerging industry trends
  • Collaborate with company-wide water resources, civil engineering, and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a closely related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in Missouri and/or Kansas
  • Extensive water resources engineering experience with a proven ability to lead projects and consistently deliver high-quality results
  • Strong interest in driving client engagement and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills
  • Valid Driver's License
