About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage TVV’s civil judicial and administrative litigation
- Define litigation strategies and oversee external law firms
- Analyze risks, provisions, and settlements; ensure compliance with decisions; and report relevant matters to leadership
- Provide advisory and preventive legal support to business and operations teams
- Assess the legal risks associated with port terminal activities and propose solutions
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, notices, terms, agreements, and other legal documents
- Handle matters involving civil liability, damage to cargo and equipment, accidents, collections, indemnification claims, real estate law, and contractual relationships
- Analyze operational incidents and support strategies to prevent and mitigate liabilities
- Support the management of provisions, contingencies, and legal performance indicators
- Manage external law firms and legal service providers, monitoring performance, deadlines, budgets, and results
- Contribute to Legal Operations initiatives, including workflows, SLAs, playbooks, KPIs, budgets, controls, governance, and powers of attorney
- Use and promote legal technology, including litigation and contract management systems, automation, data analysis, dashboards, and artificial intelligence
- Establish and monitor legal KPIs and analyze the litigation portfolio, financial exposure, level of disputes, performance, response times, and opportunities to reduce costs and risks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Postgraduate qualification preferred
- Knowledge of Legal Operations, AI, and in-house legal departments preferred
- Experience with legal systems preferred
- Advanced English proficiency
- Advanced computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Dynamic, communicative, proactive, and determined profile
- Strong ability to work as part of a team
