About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop applications across the user interface, services, APIs, data storage, and AI implementation
- Work independently as part of the team and coordinate with Product, UX, and adjacent development teams
- Translate business requirements into maintainable software
- Continuously improve architecture, components, tests, documentation, and delivery processes
- Apply modern development practices and appropriate AI-powered tools
- Help shape user interfaces and build and maintain reusable UI components
- Ensure a clear and intuitive user experience
- Share knowledge, support colleagues, and continue developing professionally with the team
- Contribute to collaborative, often agile ways of working, including pairing, reviews, and proposing improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience in software development
- Ideally, several years of responsibility for features spanning both frontend and backend
- A clear area of specialization combined with solid skills in a second area is sufficient
- Strong hands-on experience in at least one modern backend and frontend environment, for example Java and TypeScript with a commonly used framework or a comparable stack
- Understanding of maintainable architecture, automated testing, and clear, traceable documentation
- Curiosity about new technologies, including AI in day-to-day development
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to share knowledge
- Good German language skills
- English is an advantage in many teams, but is not mandatory everywhere
