About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process member transactions efficiently, accurately, and promptly, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, negotiable instruments, cash advances, stop payments, address changes, and wire transfers
- Provide timely and courteous service by servicing or closing accounts, completing documentation, issuing/re-pinning cards, and adding/updating joint owners or beneficiaries
- Respond to member inquiries in person, by telephone, or by mail
- Resolve routine issues and direct complex issues to appropriate management staff
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling services and products and generate referrals to business partners
- Participate in assigned employee development programs
- Balance daily work
- Perform operational activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies
- Perform routine office and clerical duties, including requisitioning supplies and maintaining accurate files
- Maintain cash drawer according to assigned cash limits and procedures
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School or GED
- Must have at least 1 year to 24 months of customer service and/or cash handling experience
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products; Outlook, Word & Excel
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver consistently superior customer service
- Recent cash handling or previous teller experience preferred
- Knowledge of Symitar system a plus
- Must be flexible to work out of any location at any time, as business needs dictate
- Must consistently report to work on time, as scheduled
