About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect, design, implement, maintain, optimize, secure, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, cloud, and data center networking environments
  • Provide Tier-3 support and serve as the senior escalation point for complex network incidents, outages, performance degradation, and critical service disruptions
  • Support connectivity for branches, ATMs, contact centers, data centers, cloud platforms, and business-critical systems
  • Engineer and support routing and switching environments using Cisco, HPE, and other enterprise networking platforms
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, route redistribution, VLAN, VRF, QoS, multicast, high-availability, and traffic-engineering solutions
  • Manage IP addressing, DNS integration, NAT services, network segmentation, and advanced network services for voice, video, collaboration, and business-critical applications
  • Lead network modernization and transformation initiatives, including cloud connectivity, SD-WAN deployments, and data center networking improvements
  • Design, administer, and optimize Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, Prisma SD-WAN, and related WAN technologies
  • Manage security policies, application controls, secure access controls, URL filtering, IPS, threat prevention, GlobalProtect, and network access capabilities
  • Investigate and remediate network-related security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Manage telecommunications providers and cloud connectivity partners; troubleshoot carrier, transport, and ISP issues
  • Develop and improve network monitoring, alerting, logging, configuration backup, and observability capabilities
  • Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring network issues
  • Prepare and execute network changes with implementation, risk, testing, rollback, peer review, communication, and validation plans
  • Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance outside normal business hours
  • Support FFIEC, NCUA, PCI DSS, audit, compliance, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives
  • Ensure infrastructure adheres to security, operational, and architectural standards
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to network engineers and IT team members
  • Lead network projects and workstreams with project managers, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Develop implementation plans, migration strategies, technical designs, roadmaps, and lifecycle management plans
  • Communicate network risks, recommendations, and project status to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • 6 to 10 years of progressive enterprise networking enterprise experience
  • 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise routing and switching
  • Strong experience with BGP, OSPF, multicast, QoS, VLANs, VRFs, and network segmentation
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, and Cloud environments
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama
  • Experience with network monitoring, performance analysis, and packet capture tools
  • Experience with network resiliency, high availability, and disaster recovery designs
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN
  • Experience with cloud connectivity and cloud networking concepts such as Azure virtual networks, AWS VPCs, VPNs, private connectivity, routing, security groups, and hybrid connectivity patterns
  • Experience in financial services, regulated industries, or highly secure enterprise environments
  • Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts
  • Experience with software-defined networking technologies
