About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent financial institutions in evictions and all related court proceedings
- Manage case workflow and ensure compliance with client requirements, laws, and court rules
- Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence
- Attend court hearings both in-person and virtually
- Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff
- Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice
- Report to the Managing Attorney
- Court-related travel may be required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed to practice law in New York (required)
- 3+ years of evictions experience preferred; all qualified applicants considered
- Experience working in a role that focuses on Evictions and/or Collections
- Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and driven
- Preferred: Multi-state licensure, bankruptcy or collections experience, federal licensure
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Ability to remain focused for extended periods
- Ability to work on computers for a significant portion of the day
- Ability to perform repetitive movements as required for positions (typing, clicking, swiveling)
- Ability to multi-task
