About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the infrastructure supporting trading and connectivity with global sports betting platforms
- Support production and development trading infrastructure
- Develop new infrastructure during the AWS infrastructure evolution
- Automate infrastructure and improve repeatability
- Detect, diagnose and help solve performance and stability issues in applications, networks and operating systems
- Analyze metrics, packet dumps and logs to identify and resolve issues
- Automate recurring fixes and operational processes
- Work closely with the CTO and development team
- Own monitoring and alerting systems
- Participate in compensated, shared best-efforts out-of-hours on-call support
- Attend technical interviews and a full systems engineering assessment day
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience as a DevOps engineer, linux focused
- Security, user management, auditing, provisioning
- Configuration management, specifically Ansible
- Strong AWS skills: EC2, VPC, RDS etc
- Networking experience including AWS VPC multi-region networking, routing, VPN and general network security competence
- Day-to-day ownership of monitoring and alerting tools, especially Prometheus and Grafana
- Fluency in Bash and Python for automation work
- Database administration experience with Postgres
- Proven experience within the financial, trading or gaming sector
- Ability to work Thursdays in the London (Farringdon) office
- Participation in shared best-efforts out-of-hours on-call support
