About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach assigned ROV operations and technology courses or modules for the full scheduled class period
- Deliver engaging instruction aligned with approved course and master syllabi
- Prepare and distribute syllabi, assignments, assessments, grading criteria, and classroom policies before each course begins
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress, evaluation, and grade records in accordance with College deadlines
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student questions within established division guidelines
- Advise and mentor students on academic progress, retention, and career readiness
- Refer students needing additional support to advising or counseling services
- Communicate with students, colleagues, supervisors, and program staff
- Support an inclusive, respectful, and accessible learning environment compliant with College policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and applicable legal requirements
- Participate in required professional development, trainings, meetings, and College activities
- Contribute ideas supporting department and College goals
- Represent the College professionally and follow College, LCTC, accreditation, and applicable industry requirements
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- An associate degree from an accredited college or university in the discipline; or
- An associate degree combined with relevant professional experience and required industry certifications; or
- At least 10 years of professional experience at or above the highest level of skill being taught
- Experience with ROV operations and/or related technologies
- Experience developing technical training or instructional content
- Strong instructional, communication, organizational, and computer skills
- A student-centered approach to teaching and mentoring
- C-Innovation Skills and Knowledge Assessment Certificate
- Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment
