About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and internal controls efforts for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
  • Advise and assist DLA in sustaining compliance for fully auditable financial statement reporting
  • Analyze business processes, including policies and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property, and material management
  • Support the design and implementation of the ERM process for audit-related activities
  • Review Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) and work with stakeholders on remediation techniques
  • Identify financial statement deficiencies and risks and perform root-cause analysis to develop detailed recommendations
  • Test business processes and system controls
  • Assist with implementation of management solutions, including developing training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Four (4) year degree in accounting or business management related field from an accredited institution
  • Four (4) years of accounting or financial experience, including supervising and directing efforts of staff
  • Financial statement audit experience or preparation of assertion packages
  • Understanding of GAAP, GAGAS, OMB A 123, and FASAB
  • US citizenship is required
  • GAAP / GAGAS / ICOFR experience
  • OMB Circulars A 123, A 127, A 134, A 136 and other OMB policies experience
  • FASAB, SSAC, and SFFAS experience
  • DoD and DLA financial management policies and procedures experience
  • DLA policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property and material management
  • Familiarity with FMS
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM certification
  • Experience with Celonis
  • Ability to successfully complete a background investigation
