About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation, including plans, procedures, reports, and customer deliverables
Edit and refine content for grammar, clarity, organization, and logical flow
Improve tables, graphics, and diagrams to meet professional standards
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to gather information and translate complex concepts into user-friendly documentation
Manage document versions, status tracking, and deadlines using project tracking tools and organized file repositories
Ensure content follows templates, formatting guidelines, and accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance when applicable
Review documentation requests, prioritize assignments, and communicate clarification or correction needs
Conduct root cause analysis on documentation issues and recommend improvements to templates, workflows, and content creation processes
Communicate with project stakeholders to resolve questions and provide updates
Share best practices, assist with onboarding, and contribute to continuous process improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
5+ years of related experience in technical editing, documentation, or knowledge management
Technical editing and structured authoring skills
Experience with content management systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with AI tools
Knowledge of BPA techniques
Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Role is hybrid in Bossier City, Louisiana / remote in Louisiana
Travel requirement of less than 10%
US citizenship is not required
