About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Enhance, support, and maintain medical imaging and clinical applications within the Virtua Health System
  • Support applications and workflows for Cardiology, Dental, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Neurology, Perinatal, and Radiology
  • Optimize applications through new functionality development, vendor release testing and implementation, system upgrades, and defect resolution
  • Provide technical and functional application analysis
  • Develop logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance, electronic auditing, and data integrity
  • Understand and support IT application and system integrations
  • Follow change management procedures and protocols
  • Create and maintain documentation for assigned applications
  • Develop, plan, and execute testing for supported applications
  • Support day-to-day application operations, including error management, troubleshooting, maintenance, and electronic auditing
  • Understand and document business needs and collaborate on appropriate IT solutions
  • Build, test, and assist with implementation of vendor releases and system upgrades
  • Manage errors and work queues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional application teams, end users, operational leaders, and physicians
  • Assist with projects and upgrades according to project management standards
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support to other IT staff
  • Participate in system build, configuration, and testing events
  • Provide on-call 24x7 support as needed
  • Monitor the ServiceNow ticketing queue and troubleshoot incoming incidents and requests
  • Work with IT personnel and Virtua clinical and operational business owners to resolve issues promptly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in IT or a healthcare operations-related field; coursework or healthcare/IT internship may also count
  • Associate's degree required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • IT certifications may be required as needed by Virtua
  • If an IT certification such as Epic certification is required at hire, obtain up-to-date certification in designated applications within 6 months of employment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Preferred experience with Cardiology Clinical or Imaging, Epic Cupid, MUSE, PACS, Natus, and care.ai
  • Knowledge and adherence to cybersecurity and HIPAA policies and practices
  • Local candidates preferred; required onsite as needed
