About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage duties and processes related to the operation and functioning of one or more ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship programs
  • Administer programs and ensure compliance with institutional, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with program directors, faculty, the GME Office, and institutional leaders
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, trainee evaluation, curriculum administration, and accreditation documentation
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned support staff through leadership, monitoring, coaching, mentoring, evaluation, role modeling, and education
  • Contribute to GME-wide initiatives, policy development, and process improvement
  • Organize and track annual resident recruitment, ERAS, National Residency/Fellow Match Program activities, and candidate interviews
  • Facilitate resident orientation and maintain residency management systems, databases, and websites
  • Maintain program policies, accreditation standards, hospital practices, and Board requirements
  • Collect, format, transmit, and report residency data
  • Review resident, rotation, and faculty evaluations
  • Coordinate memberships, in-training examinations, resident and faculty schedules, and resident support
  • Monitor and report program and trainee financial transactions
  • Oversee trainee onboarding, orientation, credentialing, and compliance records
  • Support academic affairs and GME leadership
  • Facilitate recruitment of program coordinators and support staff
  • Oversee licensure or certification issues and trainee documentation for promotion, termination, and verification
  • Mentor GME Residency Coordinators
  • Serve on the Graduate Medical Education Committee and lead designated committees or subcommittees
  • Pursue professional development and identify potential grant and funding opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • GME experience required
  • 3+ years of experience working in graduate medical education
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, professional and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency, including skills in MS Office, online data analyst and management
  • Self-starter exhibiting a high degree of professionalism and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
