About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define LOVB’s enterprise impact agenda, focus areas, measurable goals, and multi-year roadmap
- Translate the impact agenda into annual priorities, initiatives, budgets, owners, and milestones
- Establish impact measures and data collection across businesses, programs, and partners; track results and improve programs
- Communicate LOVB’s impact through annual reporting, Board and executive updates, partner communications, and storytelling
- Monitor community needs and emerging practices in sport, youth development, access, and social impact
- Lead the LOVB Foundation’s strategy, governance, staff, operations, administration, programs, and fundraising with the Foundation Board
- Develop and execute Foundation programs across scholarships and financial aid, access to volleyball, and opportunity through volleyball
- Build and execute fundraising strategies and cultivate donors, partners, owners, philanthropic relationships, and broader networks
- Partner with the Youth Club Differentiators team to strengthen local club fundraising
- Build and manage nonprofit, school, community, philanthropic, and corporate partnerships
- Manage Foundation administration, fiscal sponsor and/or LOVB services relationships, financial processes, budgeting, compliance, grantmaking, and Board reporting
- Establish equitable criteria for allocating Foundation resources and selecting participants, grantees, and partners
- Lead and develop Foundation staff
- Mobilize LOVB Youth, Pro League, athletes, teams, employees, partners, and the Foundation around shared impact priorities
- Develop impact strategies, commitments, and activations with LOVB Partnerships and secure resources for aligned initiatives
- Integrate impact into Youth and Pro League business priorities and activate programs nationally and locally
- Partner with Brand, Communications, and Media + Content on impact messaging and storytelling
- Create tools and resources enabling clubs, teams, athletes, and employees to participate in impact initiatives
- Lead cross-functional execution and represent LOVB with community leaders, partners, funders, and external stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience across social impact, philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, corporate responsibility, sport, strategy, or related fields
- Demonstrated success leading a foundation, nonprofit portfolio, or comparable social-impact organization or platform
- Significant fundraising success, including cultivating senior-level donors and partners and securing financial, in-kind, or strategic resources from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other external sources
- Experience translating strategy into scalable programs, partnerships, goals, and operating plans
- Strong understanding of nonprofit governance, administration, budgeting, compliance, grantmaking/program stewardship, and partnership management
- Ability to measure impact, use data to improve programs, and communicate results credibly
- Proven ability to influence executives, Boards, donors, partners, and cross-functional teams in a complex, fast-growing organization
- Highly accountable, low-ego leadership style
- Ability to model LOVB’s Operating Principles
- Ambition for impact combined with discipline to deliver it
