About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and manage complex network environments using F5 architecture
Administer F5 LTM, including CLI commands and Route Domains
Design and implement redundant DNS with F5 GTM for multiple active data centers
Create and administer F5 iRules
Deploy using F5 BIG-IQ Management and Ansible Playbooks
Troubleshoot data traffic flow by reading packet captures
Work with application development teams and departments across varied technical skill sets
Apply security awareness and data traffic flow control
Identify root causes of issues and provide solutions
Articulate and educate others about complex technology
Deliver a world-class client experience in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience with F5 Architecture and multiple Partitions
4+ years of experience with F5 BigIP Appliances
4+ years of experience designing and implementing redundant DNS with F5 Global Traffic Manager
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience (preferred)
Experience reading TCP/IP packet captures and Wireshark
Experience with Ansible Automation
F5 Professional Certifications 201/301 ADMIN desirable
Experience with F5 BigIP hardware, including Viprion, I-Series and R-Series
Knowledge of TCP/IP and UNIX/LINUX variants
Knowledge of network devices such as routers and switches
Knowledge of DNS configurations for the Internet and Microsoft Active Directory
Fundamental knowledge of encryption, including HTTPS in reverse and forward proxy environments
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PERL, and BASH
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes and provide solutions
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, oral and written
Ability to articulate and educate others about complex technology with business acumen
Client-focused, team-oriented, collaborative approach
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement
