About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers
- Develop and execute an infrastructure strategy focused on scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure infrastructure security and integrity through best practices, monitoring, and threat mitigation
- Drive adoption of technologies and methodologies to improve infrastructure performance, automation, and operational efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships and technology procurements
- Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, forecast needs, and optimize resource allocation
- Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate and support business applications
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the infrastructure engineering team
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing for infrastructure services
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role
- 5+ years designing, implementing, and managing large-scale, complex enterprise-level infrastructure environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience with AWS and hybrid cloud strategies
- Deep understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls
- Strong knowledge of storage solutions, databases, and data management best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure automation tools and scripting languages, such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, and PowerShell
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and vulnerability management
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
- Master's degree preferred
