About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide the transformation of Content Operations through strategic technology capabilities
  • Act as the bridge between business, operations, and technology teams
  • Modernize processes, reduce operational complexity, and drive automation at scale
  • Define transformation strategy, product direction, and technology roadmap
  • Lead and develop a team of 7–15 Content Operations Transformation Leads
  • Ensure operational excellence, continuous improvement, capability development, and adoption of new ways of working
  • Lead, coach, and develop the team responsible for content transformation and operational delivery
  • Set objectives, priorities, and performance expectations
  • Manage resource planning, workload prioritisation, and team capacity
  • Define vision, roadmap, priorities, business cases, product requirements, and release plans for content infrastructure capabilities
  • Lead organisational and technology change and develop migration and adoption strategies
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and optimise operational processes
  • Lead technology-enabled transformation initiatives across multiple business functions
  • Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, resilience, and user experience
  • Build relationships across Product, Technology, Operations, Data Strategy, Risk, and Governance teams
  • Gather and prioritise stakeholder feedback and influence senior leaders without direct reporting authority
  • Establish performance metrics, service measures, KPIs, governance, controls, and quality standards
  • Use data and reporting to support continuous improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience leading, managing, and developing teams in an operational, transformation, product, or technology environment
  • Experience balancing strategic responsibilities with operational delivery through direct and indirect teams
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams through periods of significant business, process, or technology change
  • Proven experience working across business and technology functions
  • Experience defining product requirements, roadmaps, and business cases
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and influencing without direct authority
  • Experience establishing and reporting against KPIs and performance metrics
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Financial markets, data management, or content operations experience preferred
  • Experience with workflow automation, AI-enabled solutions, or digital transformation programmes preferred
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or other technologies used for automation and analytics preferred
  • Familiarity with AI agents, generative AI, and modern productivity platforms preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies and enterprise collaboration tools preferred
  • Experience working in global, matrixed organisations preferred
