About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead shifts and direct/support teammates so services meet LubeZone standards and policies
  • Discuss recommended services with drivers and fleet customers, provide accurate quotes, and grow average tickets through honest recommendations
  • Greet drivers, keep wait times short, and resolve customer concerns and complaints
  • Run the location when the General Manager is away
  • Help build work schedules and track paid time off and absences
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and healthy work environment and report safety incidents
  • Support inventory, stocking, work order accuracy, and end-of-shift wrap-up
  • Spend at least 30 to 40% of time performing truck services alongside teammates in the bays
  • Complete 30 days of hands-on technician and sales training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years in a supervisor, shift lead, or assistant manager role in retail, automotive service, quick lube, or a similar fast-paced customer business
  • Proven record in sales: hitting goals, upselling, or growing average tickets
  • Strong communication skills and ability to calmly resolve customer problems and complaints
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ready to spend at least 30 to 40% of time hands-on, working on trucks in a shop environment
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Experience with class 6, 7, and 8 semi-truck maintenance or lubrication is a bonus
  • Background in truck stops, fleet service, or heavy-duty parts and service sales is a bonus
  • Experience with scheduling, inventory, or point-of-sale systems is a bonus
