About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manually remove vegetation from work areas
- Apply pesticides
- Safely operate forestry equipment, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs
- Perform line clearance, pruning, and removals
- Learn felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management
- Work full-time, year-round in outdoor physical labor
- Correspond primarily via email during the application process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent
- Must be able to work 45 hours weekly
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Must be able to work outside in various types of weather
- Must be physically able to walk on uneven ground and carry 75 lbs
- Must be willing to work at varying heights
- Must be willing and able to learn how to run a bucket truck and operate equipment safely
- Must be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license
- Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain licenses and certifications as required by the position
- Must successfully complete a post-offer physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background and motor vehicle check
