About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create real-time visual effects, including particles, impacts, powers, transitions, and other gameplay effects.
  • Design motion graphics and animation elements to enrich the player experience within the UI/UX environment.
  • Integrate and refine creations directly in an in-house game engine.
  • Collaborate with the Art, Animation, Design, and Development teams.
  • Adapt and optimize effects to meet the performance constraints of mobile games.
  • Explore new techniques and contribute to the team’s visual research.
  • Receive regular feedback and progressively develop autonomy in production.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Be enrolled in a program in VFX, animation, digital arts, video games, or a related field (ideally in the final year of your studies).
  • Have a solid foundation in visual effects, animation, and motion design.
  • Knowledge of a game engine such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with tools such as After Effects, Photoshop, 3ds Max, or other 3D software and particle systems.
  • Curiosity about both the artistic and technical aspects of creating effects.
  • Strong interest in video games and game feel.
  • Be creative, curious, and comfortable receiving and applying feedback.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset, but not required.
