About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and report anomalies in historian dashboards, SCADA points, one-line diagrams, and EMS reports
- Review, troubleshoot, and fix EMS data issues using assigned tools
- Inspect UPS, HVAC, servers, and communication devices
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on EMS-related equipment
- Troubleshoot EMS applications, OT workstations, daily reports, system logs, and related issues
- Escalate issues to specialists to support service restoration and incident response
- Verify adherence to technical procedures and safety protocols
- Track and document completed work
- Follow company policies, procedures, standards, laws, and industry regulations
- Participate in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills
- Perform additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical Degree or Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a technical or support role
- 1 year of experience in a SCADA/PLC environment
- Good understanding of SCADA, FEP, ICCP, RTUs, HMIs, PLCs, displays, DNP3, and Modbus
- Ability to write and debug scripts
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot applications, networks, servers, databases, and desktop computers
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, Linux, and databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaborative approach
- Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
- Experience configuring RTUs or PLCs is a strong asset
- Ability to comply with technical procedures, safety protocols, company policies, applicable laws, and industry regulations
- Ability to participate in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills
- Ability to meet stated physical demands and working conditions
