About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct synchronous and/or asynchronous virtual consultations
- Conduct virtual patient evaluations
- Review intake forms, medical histories, laboratory results, and relevant diagnostic data
- Determine medical necessity and prescribe treatment when clinically appropriate
- Prescribe treatment in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Provide ongoing follow-up and clinical oversight
- Document all clinical encounters accurately within the EMR
- Maintain compliance with telehealth, prescribing, and documentation standards
- Collaborate with care coordination teams to support positive patient outcomes
- Participate as an active clinical member of LumiMeds’ PC group
- Make clinical decisions, including prescribing, solely at the provider’s discretion
- Contribute to a rapidly scaling telehealth organization focused on responsible, compliant growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S.-based candidate
- MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active licensure in 30+ U.S. states (required)
- Eligible and compliant to practice telemedicine in licensed states
- Active DEA registration (multi-state preferred)
- Strong understanding of evidence-based weight management and metabolic health
- Prior telehealth experience preferred
- Experience treating obesity, metabolic syndrome, or GLP-1–based therapies preferred
- Comfortable working within structured, compliance-forward telehealth workflows
- Professional-level English communication
- Availability to work U.S. business hours
- Resume must reflect relevant experience
