About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead full-cycle technical implementations of Lumin Digital’s digital banking platform from kickoff and requirements discovery through configuration, testing, and production launch
Serve as the primary technical contact for client stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans
Implement and configure digital banking, mobile, and online banking modules
Test and validate product features, third-party integrations, and custom solutions
Ensure client expectations are met on committed deliverables
Manage staging, pilot, and production environments
Conduct working sessions to explain product functionality and enable client self-management
Develop and document custom solutions and integrations using Lumin Digital’s SDK, APIs, and tooling
Maintain project scope details, data flow documentation, and integration specifications
Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Services, and Support teams
Communicate implementation status, risks, blockers, and milestones to stakeholders, project managers, and clients
Support data conversion and migration efforts
Support load testing and performance tuning
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
Troubleshoot and resolve implementation, integration, environment, and post-launch issues
Improve implementation methodologies, tooling, templates, reusable components, and best practices
Provide post-launch and Tier 2/Tier 3 production support until handoff to application support
Contribute to post-implementation retrospectives and continuous improvement
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in software engineering
At least 2 years of experience in technical implementation and system integration
Proven experience in digital banking, FinTech, or other regulated enterprise software environments
Strong hands-on experience with SaaS application implementation and configuration
At least 2 years of programming experience in C#, Java, Python, and SQL
Proficiency with JIRA or similar Agile project management tools
Advanced experience implementing or developing digital banking or financial services software products
Experience with SDKs or equivalent experience with financial technology platforms
Knowledge of core banking system integrations, including Fiserv, Jack Henry, FIS, or Symitar
Knowledge of JSON, XML, REST, and SOAP
Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, or Datadog
Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data validation, mapping, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to build strong client relationships and act as a credible technical authority
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence peers and junior team members
Role must be performed from within the continental U.S., excluding Montana, Alaska, and Hawaii
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be able and willing to meet the travel requirements
