About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the overall client relationship from implementation through everyday problem resolution and renewal activities
  • Work directly with sales executives on new groups that are sold
  • Manage a book of business, typically supporting groups with fewer than 300 employees
  • Maintain senior management-level contact with client Benefits, Human Resources, and financial staff and assigned broker partners
  • Work on internal projects that benefit and support clients and/or the client management organization
  • Retain and grow the assigned book of business
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Client Coordinators, Sales and Account Management partners, and broker partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years previous Client Management experience and/or experience in a similar TPA or insurance environment with client-facing/client support responsibilities
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required and 6 years industry experience
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%)
  • Results oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills are required
  • Insurance license (preferred)
  • Understanding of self-funding and employee benefit plans (preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of benefit-related federal laws, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA (preferred)
  • Stop loss understanding is a plus
  • Remote employees must live within the continental United States, excluding Alaska, California, Hawaii or New York
