About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare booklet-certificates and/or group policies for new, amending, and renewing client benefit plans
- Handle complex, non-standard benefits and/or eligibility provisions
- Order, work timely, and ensure accurate booklet certificates and/or policies are generated through the document design system
- Support benefit plan documentation
- Potentially support health insurance plans through proposal development, amendment preparation, and ongoing client support activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in the healthcare industry
- Solid understanding of benefit plan designs
- Detail oriented, organized, ability to adapt to large volume work, and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet hard deadlines
- Ability to investigate and problem solve
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers
- Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
- Proficient in MS Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to provide exemplary service to internal and external customer
- Remote employees must live within the continental United States, excluding Alaska, California, Hawaii or New York
- College degree or advanced education in the insurance industry (CEBS, HIAA, or LOMA) preferred
- Experience with Adobe, Acrobat preferred
- Understanding of benefit certificate formats and layouts, including the ability to review, interpret, and support benefit plan documentation preferred
- Experience supporting health insurance plans through proposal development, amendment preparation, and ongoing client support activities preferred
