About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design the electronic systems for new products, create schematics, and select components with Project Managers and partner engineering firms
- Lead prototyping and support testing and qualification phases
- Manage the transition to production, from pre-series to mass production, in coordination with manufacturing facilities
- Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle
- Handle field non-conformities and analyze after-sales service feedback with the Supply Chain team
- Optimize the BOM and secure component supply
- Qualify new part numbers to optimize costs or address component obsolescence
- Collaborate with the Firmware team
- Ensure product compliance and adherence to production constraints, standards, and certifications
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 8 years of experience in electronic product design
- Proficiency in schematic design, schematic capture, and PCB routing using Altium or KiCad
- Knowledge of high-volume production constraints
- Strong knowledge of electronic product certification requirements, particularly electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electrical safety, CE marking, European directives, compliance testing, and qualification processes
- Ability to balance technical constraints, quality requirements, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Independent, rigorous, and proactive approach to component supply and obsolescence issues
- Professional proficiency in English is essential
- Experience in consumer products or IoT is preferred
