Clinical Implementation Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead implementation and onboarding of new physician practices and healthcare organizations
- Coordinate implementation plans with Sales and Operations
- Conduct on-site and virtual implementation meetings and training for clinical and administrative staff
- Educate teams on laboratory testing programs, patient identification, specimen collection, test ordering, requisitions, shipping, documentation, result access, and medical-necessity requirements
- Integrate laboratory testing into existing clinical workflows
- Provide hands-on support during initial patient testing when appropriate
- Ensure practices have necessary supplies, educational materials, training resources, and implementation support
- Follow up with newly implemented accounts to assess adoption and resolve workflow, specimen, ordering, training, and implementation issues
- Provide refresher training and ongoing support
- Assist with transitioning accounts to routine operational support
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and clinical staff
- Serve as liaison between customers and internal Sales, Laboratory Operations, Client Services, Billing/Reimbursement, and technical teams
- Communicate implementation status, risks, challenges, and follow-up needs to internal stakeholders
- Participate in pre-implementation discussions, sales meetings, conferences, customer events, clinical education programs, and national product or program launches
- Assist with developing and improving training materials, implementation guides, checklists, and clinical resources
- Identify customer-experience improvements and communicate customer and field feedback to internal teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical healthcare experience in a physician office, outpatient clinic, hospital, specialty practice, or similar healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care processes
- Excellent communication, presentation, teaching, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to educate and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, practice managers, and administrative staff
- Strong organization and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple implementations simultaneously
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing circumstances in the field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, and common business technology
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States
- Ability to work in clinic, group medical practice, and other healthcare environments, including potential exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
