About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform predictive and preventive maintenance functions on process rotating equipment
- Conduct vibration monitoring and analysis of rotating equipment
- Perform thermographic surveys of electrical and rotating equipment
- Conduct oil sampling and analysis
- Perform PV analysis of reciprocating compressors
- Balance rotating equipment components
- Collect, analyze, and interpret results from predictive maintenance programs
- Develop and communicate equipment repair recommendations
- Ensure timely execution of repair recommendations
- Manage condition-monitoring programs and tools
- Support incoming parts inspection for strategic spare components
- Support equipment overhauls, failure analysis, and evaluation
- Support contracted test equipment calibration and record keeping
- Act as a point of contact for condition-monitoring activities
- Collaborate with maintenance/reliability engineers, maintenance, operations, and other machinery condition monitoring analysts
- Coordinate periodic dialogues and guide operations, planning, and maintenance to execute recommendations
- Ensure machinery equipment is safe and reliable to operate
- Lead in safety and stop unsafe work when necessary
- Advocate compliance with applicable industry and company standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalency required
- Three years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries, preferably associated with maintenance or operation of rotating or instrumentation/electrical equipment
- Capable of obtaining Level II Vibration Institute vibration analyst certification after meeting certification requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills with SAP, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Meridium
- Willingness to learn and use Emerson Machinery Health Manager, Bently System1, and Windrock MD
- Assertiveness in recommending repairs critical to plant safety
- Excellent people skills and ability to work as a team player in a self-directed team environment
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary and diverse teams and interact appropriately with all organizational levels
- Commitment to GoalZERO performance
- Must be at least 18 years old
