About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to maintenance technicians
  • Ensure maintenance services are performed safely, efficiently, according to quality standards and company Safety, Health and Environmental procedures
  • Provide safety leadership in all maintenance activities with a GoalZERO focus
  • Lead development of site maintenance programs
  • Lead or delegate daily Tool-Box Safety Meetings, communicate schedule changes and review job scope with technicians
  • Coordinate Priority 1 and 2 work orders by assigning appropriate crafts and skills during normal business hours
  • Interact with operations personnel to manage work priorities and meet business needs
  • Collaborate with other organizations to understand and satisfy plant needs
  • Ensure documentation is complete, tools and materials are returned and job plan feedback is provided after work orders
  • Participate in weekly and daily work schedule development and provide constructability feedback
  • Coordinate tools and materials for scope changes and return non-stock parts, tools and equipment
  • Interact with the work permitting process and ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, time is approved in CATS and work orders are closed
  • Ensure the repairable parts process is initiated and followed through
  • Identify and overcome barriers to increased maintenance efficiency
  • Monitor employee performance and hold employees accountable
  • Drive technician compliance with training plans and identify skill gaps
  • Facilitate contractor time, material and project cost management
  • Lead site project activities, including capital upgrade installations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five year's experience in a maintenance role in manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, build effective teams, empower others, be a champion of change, problem solve, innovate and enable value
  • Strong technical orientation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Functional knowledge of SAP
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • Preferred: 10 years of combined maintenance experience in a petrochemical manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role
  • Preferred: Ability to identify and resolve re-occurring maintenance issues
  • Preferred: Demonstrated history of leading complex multi-disciplinary initiatives
