About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, enhance and manage intermediary propositions, initially focused on packaged solutions
  • Manage activity across the proposition lifecycle from insight and requirements definition through delivery, governance and post-launch review
  • Define proposition requirements reflecting customer needs, adviser experience, market developments and commercial objectives
  • Gather and interpret customer, adviser, competitor, market and performance insight
  • Identify and assess proposition opportunities
  • Produce evidence-based recommendations and decision-making materials
  • Translate priorities into requirements, delivery plans, milestones and actions
  • Coordinate cross-functional activity and maintain delivery momentum
  • Track progress, dependencies, risks and issues, escalating where appropriate
  • Provide updates to stakeholders and governance forums
  • Develop and maintain governance materials, management information and reporting
  • Consider customer outcomes, fair value, Consumer Duty, risk management and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate proposition reviews and identify or escalate material risks and customer impacts
  • Build relationships across Proposition, Distribution, Marketing, Pricing, Finance, Risk, Operations, Digital and Change
  • Lead discussions, influence decisions and resolve conflicts or delivery barriers
  • Recommend proposition requirements, enhancements, delivery priorities and governance actions
  • Make decisions within agreed strategic and governance boundaries
  • Escalate material risks, strategic decisions and priority conflicts to the Head of Proposition Innovation or relevant governance forum
  • Remain accountable for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of assigned outputs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience of proposition management, product development or product governance within financial services
  • Knowledge of pensions and investment products, ideally within an adviser-led distribution environment
  • Experience of developing or enhancing propositions in response to changing customer needs, regulation or market conditions
  • Understanding of product and proposition governance, including customer outcomes, fair value, risk and Consumer Duty considerations
  • Experience of collating, monitoring and reviewing management information and performance reporting
  • Ability to analyse complex information and translate insight into concise recommendations, papers and decision-making materials
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of customer, adviser, distribution and market dynamics
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with ability to collaborate, influence and challenge constructively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of governance papers, reports and progress updates
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve delivery issues and maintain momentum in a changing environment
  • Proactive and curious approach, with focus on continuous improvement and quality delivery
