About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with product, design and digital lending leaders to align people strategy with product delivery and team evolution
  • Own the people agenda for fraud, workplaces, impact, and corporate communications and marketing across multiple markets and operating models
  • Support organizational design, team transformations, workforce planning and structural change
  • Develop people management capability, including performance conversations, hiring and development
  • Implement approaches to attract, develop and retain product, design and analytics talent
  • Use people analytics to turn data into insight and action with Centres of Excellence and client groups
  • Manage employee relations cases, partnering with the ER Centre of Excellence on complex matters
  • Reinforce M-KOPA's values through performance, development, feedback loops and rituals
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead People Partner, Technology, on the shared technology and product agenda
  • Build credibility with creative, iterative teams and operational, high-stakes teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HR business partnering experience with senior leaders in a scaling technology, fintech or high-growth business, with portfolio ownership
  • Exposure to product, design, marketing or analytics teams
  • Understanding of how product, design, marketing or analytics teams are built, motivated and retained
  • Comfortable moving between very different teams
  • Strategic and operational range
  • Experience supporting cross-cultural teams across multiple regions
  • Ability to use data, influence and judgement to advise leaders on trade-offs and risks
  • Confident handling employee relations matters across more than one jurisdiction
  • Europe/UK exposure is a plus, not a requirement
  • Successful candidates must undergo pre-employment background checks, including criminal records, identification verification, academic qualifications, employment dates and employer references
