About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in an approximately 8-week educational program from June 1, 2027 to July 30, 2027
- Learn financial modeling and valuation, including comparable companies, precedent transactions and DCF
- Learn sell-side, buy-side and capital raise advisory processes from preparation through closing
- Conduct company, sector and comparable transaction research using FactSet, Bloomberg, PitchBook and Capital IQ
- Learn to structure and write professional presentations, teasers and memos
- Study Latin American M&A considerations, including country risk premia, FX and valuation multiples
- Complete case projects based on anonymized or past transactions
- Observe team meetings and selected client calls and participate in debrief sessions
- Meet weekly with a designated mentor who reviews work
- Present a final case to the firm's partners and receive a written evaluation
- Complete a partner interview and short case exercise
- Confirm academic credit or an internship agreement with the university
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in finance, economics, business or a related field, with expected graduation in [year]
- Exceptional academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.7 or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals
- Curiosity, attention to detail and willingness to ask questions
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Portuguese required for Brazil-based participants
- Based in a time zone between UTC-3 and UTC-6
- Familiarity with Latin American and Caribbean markets preferred
- Interest in infrastructure, consumer & retail, TMT, financial services or industrials preferred
