About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead successful delivery of the entire portfolio of client activity through Principal Delivery Managers
- Lead delivery across multiple clients and manage senior client relationships
- Oversee delivery across a portfolio exceeding £40 million in annual client revenues and 25% growth
- Ensure successful project execution, client satisfaction, team engagement and business growth within the UK public sector
- Report to the Chief Delivery Officer with a dotted line to the relevant Industry Director
- Ensure client outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
- Act as a trusted advisor and build senior client networks
- Build peer relationships across clients, industry and Made Tech
- Support revenue and margin growth, proposals, statements of work, resourcing and solution scoping
- Monitor engagement budgets, margins and revenues and implement profitability strategies
- Develop industry-specific skills, capabilities and communities of practice
- Identify new opportunities and markets for expansion
- Provide delivery leadership across multiple client accounts and delegate to Delivery Managers
- Manage, motivate, coach and develop the industry team
- Ensure use of appropriate delivery tools, methodologies and playbooks
- Ensure compliance with legal, governance and reporting standards
- Drive continuous improvement across deliveries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in project and programme management, or delivery management, preferably in the digital, software and services industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects and portfolios, including revenues of £15m+
- Experience engaging at senior levels on strategy and developing relationships based on subject matter expertise
- Experience of account or business growth through bids, client relationship building, solution shaping, or senior consulting engagements
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including coaching, mentoring and managing diverse teams directly or through a matrix
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Knowledge of the UK public sector and Central Government industry highly desirable
- Relevant certifications are a plus
- Portfolio and account delivery leadership across multiple concurrent client engagements
- Financial management across revenue, margin, budget and forecast accuracy for a £40m+ portfolio growing 25% year on year
- Commercial and bid support, including proposal shaping, resourcing and solution scoping
- Workforce and capability planning
- Senior-level stakeholder management
- Governance, risk and quality assurance across complex, multi-account delivery
- Strong understanding and experience of large programme delivery across complex change programmes and partner ecosystems
- Strong people leadership and motivational management
