About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead program management for Field Sales-sponsored initiatives and field-facing cross-functional initiatives
- Translate strategic national priorities into actionable project plans, governance, timelines, budgets, communications, and implementation plans
- Identify dependencies, competing priorities, capacity constraints, sequencing issues, and execution risks
- Drive accountability by documenting and tracking decisions, commitments, owners, and follow-up actions
- Develop executive updates covering progress, risks, decisions, resources, field feedback, and recommended actions
- Lead project management for national and field-facing meetings, including Annual Regional Reviews, Plans of Action, National Sales Meetings, People Leader Meetings, and Fast Start meetings
- Manage integrated timelines, stakeholder workstreams, content development, presenter preparation, leadership reviews, communications, and post-meeting follow-through
- Lead assigned national commercial initiatives and emerging business priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional roles, responsibilities, timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and decision points
- Support field readiness, communication, training, implementation, adoption, and change management
- Facilitate cross-functional problem solving and escalate strategic, resource, timing, scope, and leadership-alignment issues
- Route work requiring Legal, Medical, Regulatory, or Compliance review through appropriate approval processes
- Identify and lead process-improvement initiatives involving field platforms, communications, reporting workflows, meetings, and coordination
- Partner with IT, Commercial Operations, Analytics, and system owners on Veeva and other field-facing technology initiatives
- Develop repeatable processes, templates, tools, and governance mechanisms
- Provide temporary leadership coverage for open Regional Sales Director roles as needed
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, expenditure tracking, cost controls, and financial-risk identification
- Coordinate external vendor engagement and contracting with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and functional stakeholders
- Manage vendor performance and develop business cases and resource recommendations
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2+ years of first-line pharmaceutical/biotech field sales leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of relevant commercial experience
- Experience coaching/developing field teams and understanding field leadership
- Experience leading complex national cross-functional programs
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization
- Ability to influence without authority and work with executives
- Strong program/project management capabilities and enterprise commercial acumen
- Budget/vendor management experience
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Up to 50% travel, with flexibility for additional travel during periods of increased business need
