About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the drafting, review, and analysis of general civil-law contracts, including service agreements, partnership agreements, amendments, termination agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), notices, and related instruments;
- Assist in preparing legal opinions and responses to civil-law inquiries based on legislative and legal scholarship research, as well as the internal understanding of the Legal Advisory team;
- Conduct legal research to support the department’s decision-making, including gathering and updating relevant legal and regulatory provisions and interpretations;
- Provide legal advisory support to internal departments and other group companies, addressing questions regarding contracts and civil-law matters;
- Identify basic legal risks, non-compliance issues, and contractual points requiring attention, submitting analyses and proposed revisions for review by mid-level or senior lawyers;
- Support the organization, updating, and control of contracts, legal opinions, and legal documents in physical and digital formats, ensuring information traceability and reliability;
- Support compliance with internal policies, compliance standards, and legal guidelines, reporting inconsistencies or questions to leadership;
- Work collaboratively with lawyers, interns, and other partner departments, contributing to the smooth operation of the Legal Advisory team and the quality of deliverables.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
- Experience in legal advisory work, including contracts, legal opinions, amendments, and memoranda;
- Knowledge of privacy and data protection under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Strong analytical skills and ease in dealing with people;
- Results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines;
- Strong oral and written communication skills with diverse audiences;
- Motivation to work as part of a team and an innovative mindset;
- Knowledge of insurance law;
- Intermediate English proficiency.
