About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assemble information needed to create business intelligence solutions as part of information delivery and data analytic projects
Perform analytical activities independently and collaboratively to define specifications for business intelligence and analytics solutions
Define and document specifications for reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence components
Define and document specifications for data resources and assets
Train and mentor user communities on business intelligence and analytical tools, self-service capabilities, and standard report packages
Assist in creating business process and data flow diagrams before development begins
Conduct stakeholder interviews across the organization to perform needs assessments for incoming requests
Assist project leaders with task management and project coordination
Assist with data management, including list management, metadata management, and glossary management
Collaborate with IT teams on non-functional requirements, architectural needs, estimates, and planning
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years' experience in business intelligence working with business or systems analysis and design concepts
A bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, management information systems, mathematics, statistics, analytics, computer and information sciences or similar is required; may substitute an additional three or more years of direct experience in business intelligence, data analytics or statistics in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
Ability to write basic queries using standard query languages
Familiarity with business analysis principles and project management methodologies
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies while considering business needs and direction
Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools/environments
Working knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts
Knowledge of dimensional and relational data modeling and warehousing strategies
Demonstrable proficiency in defining project scope and managing small to midsize projects to completion
Must comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal security requirements and controls
