Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own how Magic Spoon shows up in culture across social, influencers, affiliates, PR, and earned media
  • Build cultural relevance by identifying trends, talent, formats, conversations, and cultural moments
  • Build brand buzz through integrated social, PR, earned media, influencer, affiliate, partnership, and creative initiatives
  • Lead Magic Spoon’s PR strategy and agency partner
  • Find compelling stories and create moments that earn attention beyond owned channels
  • Build an influencer and affiliate ecosystem of creators, tastemakers, partners, and affiliates
  • Develop long-term relationships, collaborations, cultural credibility, and community
  • Build an owned social presence that feels like entertainment rather than advertising
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager to experiment, react quickly, create recurring formats, and participate in culture
  • Collaborate with Brand, Growth, and Design to support the marketing and commercial calendar
  • Make fast decisions on scrappy, low-cost opportunities
  • Build and lead a team, including the current Social Media Manager and future hires
  • Report to the CMO

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years in social, communications, influencer, PR, or brand marketing, with meaningful experience managing people, not just projects
  • Track record of making a brand feel culturally alive, with work that broke through, generated conversation, or changed brand perception
  • Sharp creative judgment and strong taste
  • Experience leading PR and earned media, directly or through agency partners
  • Ability to turn brand and business moments into compelling stories
  • Experience building influencer and creator programs beyond transactional paid partnerships
  • Understanding of how creators, affiliates, tastemakers, PR, and owned social work together
  • Comfort operating with speed and imperfect information
  • Genuine point of view on internet culture, social platforms, creators, and media
  • Strong collaboration with Brand, Growth, Design, and the broader business
  • Experience in food, beverage, or CPG, especially challenger or DTC-native brands (nice to have)
  • Based in or willing to travel to NYC (nice to have)
  • Personal social presence or point of view demonstrating engagement with culture (nice to have)
  • Must possess identification proving authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be unable to require Work Visa sponsorship
