About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build new websites and relaunches with Astro, from project setup to launch
Turn Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive and accessible websites
Set up Sanity so clients can manage their content independently
Use AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to speed up builds, migrations and QA
Help build AI into the workflow, including Figma-to-code and automated testing
Optimize performance, Core Web Vitals and technical SEO before every launch
Plan milestones, deliver on launch dates and provide clear handover documentation
Serve as technical lead for website builds from setup through handover

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years as a full-time or freelance Frontend / Web Developer
Production websites shipped with Astro (live examples required)
Solid Sanity experience (schemas, Studio, GROQ)
Daily use of AI coding tools, with understanding of where they help and where they do not
Strong HTML, CSS, TypeScript and Tailwind skills
React, Vue or Svelte is a plus
Strong focus on performance, technical SEO and relaunches including redirects
An eye for detail
Proficient English, written and spoken
