About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead GBS Business Planning and Forecast process, including service/project pricing, strategic planning, detailed operational planning and forecasting
- Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend improvements to profitability
- Monitor and analyze financial metrics, KPIs and financial trends
- Ensure proper pricing of services and project hours
- Develop and evaluate business cases with financial assumptions, scenario analyses and recommendations
- Lead project controlling, including budget tracking, variance analysis, performance monitoring and reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports and stakeholder presentations
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls
- Provide strategic financial insights for decision-making
- Partner with GBS leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate business proposals, investments and potential acquisitions
- Manage cash flow, optimize working capital and ensure adequate liquidity
- Strengthen, lead and develop a global team of financial professionals
- Foster excellence, integrity and continuous improvement within the finance department
- Identify talent gaps and develop succession plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within manufacturing, automotive or a shared services environment
- Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and internal controls
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, consolidation, cost accounting, transfer pricing, taxation, regulatory compliance and financial management in an international business environment
- Strong understanding of applicable accounting and reporting frameworks, statutory requirements, direct and indirect tax compliance, and financial statement and regulatory report preparation across jurisdictions
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights
- Strong systems proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, data warehouse tools, OneStream and SAP
- Proven leadership and people management capability, including experience developing high-performing finance teams
- Ability to communicate and present effectively to senior executives and board members
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred
- Experience supporting a global shared services organization across multiple regions and jurisdictions preferred
- Advanced proficiency with OneStream, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and data warehouse environments preferred
