About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and resolve problems in software, SIL models, HIL models, test scripts and components for powertrain products
Cascade test specifications from system to components and deliver test plans and test designs
Document detailed test plans, test designs, analyses, computer models, prototype/production test scripts and specification releases
Carry out software integration tests on the HiL system
Research new tools, best practices and alternative approaches for software development and testing
Supervise the HiL structure and integrate the system into the Jenkins continuous integration toolchain
Develop validation product/system practices and procedures for technologies such as Cybersecurity, Global B and AutoSAR
Support development and validation of drive systems for future electric and hybrid vehicles and other electric drives
Guide engineering activities and work independently with limited supervision or serve as a technical authority at senior level
Mentor and guide less experienced team members
Drive development of technologies to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost
Maintain working relationships with internal and external customers
Perform additional duties as assigned
Follow applicable environmental, health, safety, quality and data protection procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
Intermediate: 5–7 years of experience in design and development of validation documentation, software, SIL models, HIL models, test scripts and components
Senior: Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and development of validation documentation, software, SIL models, HIL models, test scripts and components
Knowledge and experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and dSPACE toolchains (AutomationDesk, ConfigurationDesk, ControlDesk NexGen) required
Intermediate programming skills in Python and C; senior-level programming skills in Python and C
Experience with detailed test plans, test design, analysis, computer modeling, prototype/production test scripts and specification releases
Experience with dSpace/NI/Vector systems required for senior level
High analytical ability and understanding of engineering theory and design principles for senior level
Working knowledge of computer-based software and powertrain controls experience for senior level
Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity testing (ISO/SAE 21434) for senior level
Automotive industry experience strongly preferred
ISTQB/ASTQB Foundation or Advanced test certification preferred
Great interest in e-mobility

Must comply with quality management, safety, PPE, environmental, health and data protection requirements
