About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of engineers
  • Work with the product manager and designer from discovery through delivery
  • Own landing page and website builders, signup forms, subscriber imports, preference centers, and opt-in flows
  • Build and maintain integrations that bring subscribers in from other platforms
  • Keep forms, imports, and opt-in flows fast, reliable, and resistant to abuse
  • Own the team's production areas end to end, including quality, performance, monitoring, and incident fixes
  • Set engineering standards through code review, pairing, and mentoring
  • Help engineers grow into greater ownership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years building production web applications
  • Strong PHP and Laravel experience
  • Solid modern JavaScript, ideally Vue 3
  • Experience leading engineers technically
  • Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
  • Experience working with third-party APIs and OAuth
  • Good relational database skills; PostgreSQL preferred
  • Experience with background jobs and queues
  • Product mindset, including customer research, challenging requirements, and measuring results after launch
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Comfort working asynchronously in a remote team
  • 5-hour overlap with the CET time zone
  • Nice to have: drag-and-drop editors or page builders
  • Nice to have: social platform integrations or WordPress plugin development
  • Nice to have: understanding of GDPR and double opt-in requirements
  • Nice to have: bot and abuse protection for public forms
