About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, design, develop, and launch Sage X3 solutions for manufacturing and distribution clients
  • Conduct analysis of client business processes and functional requirements
  • Prepare documentation to communicate and validate findings
  • Analyze data and existing systems and recommend efficient, cost-effective solutions
  • Document functional requirements, workflows, and system specifications
  • Identify integration points across client systems and recommend connectivity and configuration
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and in a manner that exceeds client expectations
  • Support clients through system testing and user acceptance phases
  • Manage ongoing client relationships, handle questions, resolve issues, write reports, and perform upgrades
  • Assist the sales team with estimates, proposal generation, product demos, and pre-sales requests
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in Sage X3 and serve as an escalation resource
  • Apply technical and business knowledge to map client requirements to system functionality
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend configuration, customization, third-party tools, or process changes
  • Complete required training on product updates and new releases
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and emerging technology solutions
  • Share knowledge, raise critical issues, and suggest process improvements with peers and leadership
  • Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders
  • Create opportunities to engage clients and share expertise to drive service quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience implementing Sage X3 within Manufacturing and Distribution environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs), production scheduling, shipping workflows, and related manufacturing processes
  • Experience with EDI integrations and the ability to identify and address integration requirements across client supply chain systems
  • 5+ years of Sage X3 ERP implementation experience, or implementation of comparable ERP platforms (Epicor, Infor, Syspro, ProcessPRO, MS Dynamics)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required
  • Proven consulting background with a track record of delivering complex software solutions on time and within budget
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional solution specifications
  • Experience facilitating requirements and design sessions through interviews, workshops, and prototype demonstrations
  • Ability to effectively document both business and technical designs for internal and client audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage a network of client stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments
  • Remote role requiring a minimum of 50% travel to client sites across the US
