About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure all locations are prepared for employees and customers and maintain a secure, safe, clean, and presentable environment
  • Perform hands-on maintenance services and visual inspections at branch locations
  • Monitor and maintain work orders and projects through Salesforce
  • Evaluate daily work and special projects and direct planning and day-to-day task completion
  • Lead and participate in morning huddles and facilitate meetings as directed
  • Act as department lead when the manager is out of office
  • Travel regularly/daily to Main Street Bank locations and customers
  • Schedule and/or perform routine preventative maintenance at bank-owned and leased locations
  • Manage supply orders and maintain supply, shop, vehicle, and assigned areas
  • Participate in the after-business-hours on-call facilities support rotation
  • Manage and coordinate vendors, scopes of work, quotes, vetting, and oversight of work
  • Support physical security needs involving video surveillance, access control, intrusion systems, and user access
  • Support records retention, storage, and destruction processes
  • Provide backup mail courier processing and delivery while following information-transport procedures
  • Provide project management support, schedule and oversee vendors, inspect work, and compare actual expenses with budgets
  • Oversee assigned staff, schedule and assign work, prioritize competing demands, and provide training and guidance
  • Contribute to performance reviews and recommendations for performance management and development
  • Monitor departmental procedures and recommend productivity and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations, bank policies, risk controls, and required training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Facilities building management experience required
  • Understanding of banking industry and standards a plus
  • Project coordination/management
  • Light carpentry skills and use of hand and power tools required
  • Carpentry, electrical, plumbing/HVAC, and mechanical experience with licenses preferred
  • OSHA 10 Hour Certification preferred
  • Adherence to OSHA Safety Standards and good work practices
  • Vendor Management
  • Familiarity with Salesforce for cases and project management
  • Knowledge of safe motor vehicle operation, traffic laws, and motor vehicle rules
  • Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and personal auto insurance coverage
  • Means and mode to travel to Main Street Bank locations and/or customers regularly/daily
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing demands, workflow, deadlines, and unexpected events
  • Ability to use judgment and discretion with sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to speak and present information effectively in English
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and Bank policies
